Foreperson Level 2 - Union

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and assigns daily work for the crew.
• Conducts field training/retraining, instructing crew on new or revised job units.
• Enforces safe work practices and conducts safety training.
• Communicates with property owners and customers regarding work details and damages.
• Maintains accurate records and reports on crew operations.
• Controls crew costs and ensures efficient use of resources.
• Furnishes reports to the General Foreperson and utility representatives.
• Investigates incident reports, damage claims, and settles minor claims.
• Ensures compliance with DOT maintenance and inspection requirements.
• Keeps informed about new equipment, specifications, and company policies.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must understand drawings and symbols representing electrical components.
• Must possess excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Must have organizational skills and be able to multitask.
• Must be adaptable to field requirements and able to act independently.
• Must be able to safely operate an approved company vehicle.
• Must be able to work with hands above head for extended periods.
• Must not exceed approximately 300 pounds when driving.
• Must be comfortable working at heights.
• Must be willing to join and pay local union dues.

Education & Experience

• A high school diploma or GED is preferred.

Pre-Screen

• Drug screen, background check, and MVR check may be required upon offer.

License & Certifications

• Driver’s license required.
• Class B CDL preferred.
• State pesticide license preferred (will help obtain).

Travel Requirements

• Must have transportation to and from the show-up location.

Physical Requirements

• RARE: crawling, climbing, gripping, lifting up to 50 lbs.
• OCCASIONAL: standing, stooping, kneeling, squatting, body-twisting, sense of touch, manual dexterity, lifting over 10 lbs. to 50 lbs., reaching, range-of-motion, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, climbing stairs, balancing.
• FREQUENT: walking, sitting, climbing on/off truck, reading, lifting up to 10 lbs.
• CONTINUOUS: speaking clearly, seeing distant, seeing, hearing-speech-range, depth-perception, color vision.
