Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Plans, coordinates, and assigns daily work for the crew.
  • Conducts field training/retraining, instructing crew on new or revised job units.
  • Enforces safe work practices and conducts safety training.
  • Discusses with property owner/customer(s) issues related to work.
  • Promotes and maintains good customer and public relations.
  • Maintains accurate records, timesheets, and reports.
  • Controls crew costs and inspects tools, trucks, and equipment.
  • Performs incident investigations and settles minor damage claims.
  • Ensures compliance with DOT maintenance and inspection requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Age 18 or older.
  • Understanding of electrical drawings and symbols.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Organization skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to adjust to field requirements and take independent action.
  • Safety driving license.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work above head.
  • No fear of heights.
  • Willingness to join and pay local union dues.

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.

Pre-Screen

Upon offer, employees may be required to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background, and/or MVR check.

License & Certifications

  • Driver License Required.

Travel Requirements

Must have transportation to and from the show-up location.

Physical Requirements

  • RARE: crawling, climbing, gripping, lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • OCCASIONAL: standing, stooping, kneeling, squatting, body-twisting, sense of touch, manual dexterity, lifting over 10 lbs. to 50 lbs., reaching, range-of-motion, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, climbing stairs, balancing.
  • FREQUENT: walking, sitting, climbing on/off truck, reading, lifting up to 10 lbs.
  • CONTINUOUS: speaking clearly, seeing distant, seeing, hearing-speech-range, depth-perception, color vision.
