About the Role
The Team Leader oversees the daily operations of the Forensic Multidisciplinary Team, supervising case managers, therapists, and program assistants. They coordinate client admission, treatment, rehabilitation, and support services in collaboration with the APRN, ensuring clinical assessments and direct client care.
Responsibilities
- Provide supervision, guidance, and oversight to team staff to ensure effective performance.
- Ensure accurate, timely documentation and monitor compliance with standards.
- Conduct clinical assessments, deliver direct treatment, and facilitate client staffing meetings.
- Manage program funds and perform on-call crisis intervention and staff consultation.
- Coordinate efforts across multiple entities and lead multidisciplinary team processes.
- Monitor documentation quality and ensure adherence to relevant guidelines.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in psychology, social work, psychiatric rehabilitation, or related field.
- Active license as a Mental Health Counselor, Clinical Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Psychologist.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in behavioral healthcare; forensic team experience preferred.
- Reliable transportation, valid FL driver’s license, and clean driving record.
- Ability to operate office equipment and use secure technology tools.
- Willingness to perform on-call duties and travel between sites if needed.
Skills
- Strong clinical judgment, excellent written/verbal communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and documentation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Work Environment
Fast-paced office setting with exposure to challenging populations, requiring sitting, standing, walking, and lifting small objects. Flexibility for occasional travel and adherence to safety protocols is essential.
