Forensic Multidisciplinary Team Leader/Bartow, FL/1933/DR

About the role

The Team Leader is responsible for the daily oversight and operation of the Forensic Multidisciplinary Team, serving as the direct supervisor and providing guidance and oversight to the team's case managers, therapist, and program assistants. In coordination with the APRN, the Team Leader directs client admission, treatment, rehabilitation, and support services. The Team Leader conducts clinical assessments and provides direct clinical treatment, rehabilitation, and support services to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of required documents of the team
  • Monitor and approve incidental funds for the program
  • Perform on-call duty for crisis intervention and for staff supervision and consultation
  • Provide supervision and guidance to program staff to enable them to perform the essential duties of their job in an effective manner
  • Lead client staffing meetings and coordinate the team's efforts to manage treatment and monitoring services across multiple entities
  • Accurately review and monitor documentation of Forensic Multidisciplinary Team staff and ensure the team is meeting all applicable standards

Requirements

  • Master's degree in psychology, social work, psychiatric rehabilitation, or related human services discipline
  • Active license as a Mental Health Counselor, Clinical Social Worker, or Marriage and Family Therapist under Chapter 491, Florida Statutes, or as a psychologist under Chapter 490, F.S
  • Two years' experience in behavioral healthcare
  • Must have reliable transportation and have a valid FL driver's license
  • Must have clean driving record and be a minimum of age 25 to be a qualified driver
  • Required to become a driver on behalf of Peace River Center using both personal vehicle and PRC vehicles
  • Must provide and maintain proof of coverage on personal vehicle for Bodily Injury Liability in the amount of $25,000/$50,000 level
  • If not assigned a company-issued phone, authorize the use of the Microsoft Authenticator app on your personal mobile device to access payroll and communication systems

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Forensic Multidisciplinary Team model preferred
  • Excellent clinical judgment along with the ability to understand treatment modalities and services
  • Proficient in aspects of treatment including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and treatment interventions
  • Understanding of the multidisciplinary process
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Highly organized and able to work to a deadline, as well as complete timely submission of required reporting
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to complete on-call coverage

Work environment

The work environment is fast-paced and consists of exposure to physical conditions typical of a normal office environment. The populations cared for include patients who are confused, delusional, irrational, agitated, or uncooperative. Most work is performed while sitting, although the work may require occasional standing or walking and/or the lifting and carrying of small objects. A small amount of travel may be required for meetings to another PRC location.
