Responsibilities
- Assist in clinical review and analyzing admission and medical documentation within time sensitive, statutory obligations.
- Discuss clinical issues with health care providers to ensure reliable continuity-of-care.
- Serve in the coordination of screening, acceptance, diversion, and pre-admission assessment of all referrals to Forensic Division of NMBHI.
- Assist the Division Director in data collection and clinical reviews necessary for forensic-clinical system audits, statistically analysis, and quality assurance and performance improvement.
- Ensure confidentiality and protect sensitive patient and organizational information while also maintaining professionalism and customer service.
Requirements
- Experience in clinical, correctional or forensic nursing.
- Experience as a member of a multidisciplinary treatment team.
- Experience in navigating and working with representatives within the state judicial system.
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in New Mexico or eligibility for such licensure.
- Five (5) years of experience relevant to the essential duties and responsibilities of the classification.
Qualifications
- Valid Drivers License.
- Defensive Driving Certificate.
