Foreman Electrical
About the role
Join the Grid & Digital Solutions department within the Thermal Power & HVDC division of Metlen, based in Lajanuri, Georgia, for the construction of a high-voltage substation. As Electrical Foreman, you will oversee electrical installation activities, ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to project plans and specifications.
Responsibilities
- Check the readiness and safety compliance of each work area prior to commencing electrical installation activities.
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of electricians and subcontractors to ensure efficient workflow.
- Monitor the progress of electrical systems installation and identify any deviations from plans, specifications, or schedules.
- Ensure that electrical works are carried out to the highest standards of quality and in accordance with approved drawings and project requirements.
- Coordinate with other trades and site management to prevent conflicts and delays.
- Assist in planning daily and weekly work schedules based on project timelines and available resources.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and report progress to the Site Manager.
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture on site, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Diploma or technical certification in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of experience, preferably as an Electrical Foreman in the energy/construction sector.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and codes.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documents.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Commitment to safety and compliance.
