About the role
This is a pool position for the 2026‑27 school year seeking additional interpreters for Ukrainian, Russian, Pashto, Farsi, and Marshallese. The purpose of the role is to engage non‑English speaking families with the services provided by the school(s).
Responsibilities
- Interpreting
- Translating documents
- Recording school messenger information
- Working with attendance matters
- Working with families to optimize the services provided
Requirements
- High school diploma or recognized equivalent
- Ability to read, write and speak the target language and English with excellent oral communication skills
- Interpreter certification or Seal of Biliteracy preferred
- Proven interpretation/translation experience required
- Valid driver's license required
- Able to maintain strong, productive relationships with other employees, parents, and students
- Maintain appropriate levels of confidentiality in all matters pertaining to students, parents, staff and program
- All hourly support positions require fingerprinting and background check for new employees
Pay
Rate: $26.38 per hour
