About the Role

As a Foreclosure Specialist II, you will manage various aspects of the foreclosure process with a high degree of autonomy and expertise. This mid-level role leverages your comprehensive understanding of legal and financial procedures to ensure accuracy and strict adherence to regulations. You will also mentor junior staff to ensure team-wide compliance and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Foreclosure Case Management: Manage a caseload of foreclosure accounts, including reviewing loan documentation, tracking critical deadlines, and ensuring compliance with company policies and investor guidelines. Handle complex cases and resolve escalated issues.
  • Document Preparation: Oversee the preparation and execution of essential legal documents, such as filings and deeds for judicial foreclosures, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate and collaborate with external parties, including attorneys, property preservation vendors, and other service providers. Requires professional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Compliance and Accuracy: Ensure all foreclosure actions are accurate, timely, and compliant with federal, state, and investor requirements. Serve as a resource for best practices and regulatory changes.
  • Financial Calculations: Manage the calculation of financial figures, such as judgment figures and bid amounts, and analyze financial data to determine the best course of action.
  • Process Management: Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures.
  • Mentorship and Guidance: Provide guidance and mentorship to Entry-Level Foreclosure Specialists, supporting their professional development and ensuring team efficiency.
  • Special Projects: Participate in and/or lead special projects related to foreclosure processes, compliance, or system enhancements.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • A minimum of two years of experience as a Foreclosure Specialist or two years in a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and investor requirements related to foreclosure.
  • Proven ability to manage complex foreclosure cases and resolve escalated issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and systems, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong leadership skills and a willingness to mentor junior staff.

Pay

Salary range: $45,000 - $66,000. Individual salary may vary based on role, geographic location, market data, skills, and experience. Some roles may be eligible for performance-based compensation and/or stock-based incentives.

This is an office-based role.
