Foreclosure Specialist II
About the Role
As a Foreclosure Specialist II, you will be responsible for managing various aspects of the foreclosure process, working with a high degree of autonomy and expertise. In this mid-level role, you will be expected to leverage your comprehensive understanding of the legal and financial procedures involved to ensure absolute accuracy and strict adherence to all applicable regulations. Your experience will also be utilized to mentor and guide junior staff, helping to ensure team-wide compliance and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Foreclosure Case Management: Manage a caseload of foreclosure accounts, including reviewing loan documentation, tracking critical deadlines, and ensuring compliance with company policies and investor guidelines. Handle more complex cases and resolve escalated issues.
- Document Preparation: Oversee the preparation and execution of essential legal documents, such as filings and deeds for judicial foreclosures, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate and collaborate with external parties, including attorneys, property preservation vendors, and other service providers. Requires a high level of professional communication and negotiation skills.
- Compliance and Accuracy: Ensure that all foreclosure actions are accurate, timely, and compliant with federal, state, and investor requirements. Serve as a resource for ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory changes.
- Financial Calculations: Manage the calculation of financial figures, such as judgment figures and bid amounts, and analyze financial data to determine the best course of action.
- Process Management: Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures.
- Mentorship and Guidance: Provide guidance and mentorship to Entry-Level Foreclosure Specialists, supporting their professional development and ensuring team efficiency.
- Special Projects: Participate in and/or lead special projects related to foreclosure processes, compliance, or system enhancements.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of two years of experience as a Foreclosure Specialist or two years in a related field
- In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and investor requirements related to foreclosure
- Proven ability to manage complex foreclosure cases and resolve escalated issues
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Proficiency in relevant software and systems, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong leadership skills and a willingness to mentor junior staff

Pay
Salary $45,000 - $66,000. Positions may offer bonus opportunities. Individual salary may vary based on multiple factors including specific role, geographic location / market data, and skills and experience.
