Position Summary

Where You’ll Work

Location: Health Central Park Nursing and Rehab Center
411 N Dillard Street, Winter Garden, FL
Schedule: Full-Time

Responsibilities

  • Supervises the day-to-day activities of the Food Service Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Ensures that the quality and quantity of all food related services meet standards.
  • Performs food service duties (cooking, trayline, cleaning, etc) on an as needed basis.
  • Ensures the staff are responding promptly, safely, and efficiently to all service or customer requests.
  • Ensures that there is adequate staff and supplies to meet daily needs.
  • Captivates dietary services and activities with other departments.
  • Maintains dietary work areas, storage rooms, coolers, freezers, and utility closets in a clean and sanitary manner.
  • Aids in coordinating various human resources functions including hiring, work assignments, coaching plans, and performance counseling.
  • Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
  • Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
  • Aids the Food Service Director in the development of in-services to improve quality in designated areas.

Requirements

  • Education/Training: High school graduate or equivalent
  • Training: In cost control, food management, sanitation, and diet therapy
  • Experience: Two (2) years of food service work experience.
