About the role

Responsibilities

• Assists the FNS Director in planning, directing, and supervising all FNS functions and partners with the exception of Director of FNS, Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), and Nutrition and Dietetics Technician, Registered (NDTR).
• Works with the Director of FNS, RDN, NDTR, Regional Dietitian, and Administrator and follows recommendations made.
• Has a thorough understanding of all regulations (local, state, and federal) which affect FNS including, but not limited to, patient care, sanitation, labor, fire, safety, and disaster and ensures continued compliance to these regulations.
• Aids in making food and supply purchases and for maintaining expense records.

Requirements

• Must have or obtain an approved Sanitation Course certification, as required by NHC standards and per state regulations.
• Must have a sincere interest in foodservice & nutrition and enjoy working with the senior care living population and other healthcare patients.
• Must possess and use excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Must have Healthcare Food Service Experience.

Qualifications

Must have or obtain an approved Sanitation Course certification, as required by NHC standards and per state regulations.

Skills

• Sincere interest in foodservice & nutrition.
• Enjoy working with the senior care living population and other healthcare patients.
• Ease in customer service and communication.
• Experience in Healthcare Food Service.
