Food Services Associate

About the role

The primary responsibility of this position is to work the deli station in Skylight Café and catered events, preparing sandwiches and monitoring product levels.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver foods under the supervision of the Manager and/or Kitchen Leader.
• Maintain satisfactory sanitation in the kitchen and serving area.
• Keep proper stock levels at the food stations and serving area.
• Manage paperwork and documentation for bulk and packaged food and equipment maintenance.
• Assist other positions as needed or directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Earned high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a fast-paced restaurant/deli/pizzeria.
• Certified in ServSafe.
• Physical strength and agility to bend, lift, climb, stand, and walk for long periods of time.
• Conscientiousness to display high effort and commitment towards work.
• Decision-making skills to make sound, well-informed, and objective decisions.
• Demonstrating positive regard for others by showing acceptance and maintaining a pleasant disposition.
• Building cooperative teams by encouraging mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
• Customer service skills to work with clients and customers to assess needs, provide information or assistance, and resolve problems.
• Dependability and reliability to behave consistently and predictably, follow through on commitments, and meet deadlines.
• Food production knowledge to plan, grow, and harvest food for consumption using appropriate equipment and techniques.
