Responsibilities
- Affixes dirty food trays to nursing units.
- Assists with early and late food tray deliveries promptly.
- Prepares and delivers trays, ensuring accuracy and adherence to special diets and customer service standards.
- Prepares trays during meal service hours.
- Cleans and sanitizes kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas, including the dish room.
- Washes dishes by hand or by machine.
- Delivers food trays or nourishments to patient’s rooms or nursing units.
- Maintains compliance with JCAHO, State Health Department, and OSHA regarding ongoing required job training and health standards.
- Transfers food in kitchen and on patient trays in a timely manner and adheres to proper protocols (wears hair restraint, gloves, and properly covers food).
