This position is located within the Fort Gordon Business Operations Division. U.S. Citizens, Nationals, or those who owe allegiance to the U.S. are eligible to apply. Non-U.S. Nationals must have resided in the U.S. or U.S. territory for three or more continuous years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation.

Responsibilities

  • Sets up glasses, silverware, dishes, trays, napkins, condiments, and cold items such as salads, desserts, bread, and cold beverages on a serving line or tables.
  • Removes dishes and trays from tables after meals; washes tables and counters.
  • Prepares food by sorting, washing, peeling, and cutting fresh fruit and vegetables.
  • Cleans kitchen equipment such as worktables, sinks, glasses, and silverware.
  • Cleans and sanitizes trash cans; disposes of trash.

Requirements

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card are required.
  • Must meet qualification, eligibility, and background requirements for this position.
  • Must satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Must complete all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para. 2.
  • Must be able to lift and move items weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • May be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally controlled facilities.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service (www.sss.gov).
  • Position, duty hours, location, and/or activity are subject to change based on mission requirements.
  • Must be willing and able to work a rotating schedule to include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

  • Resumes must be two pages or less and clearly demonstrate relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and abilities.
  • Ability to understand and follow oral instructions and perform simple tasks that are easy to learn.

This job does not have an education qualification requirement.

Pay

This job falls under the Federal Wage Schedule (FWS) pay system.

Schedule
