Food Service Worker Lead - Full-Time

About the Role

As a Food Service Worker, you will assist with food preparation, portioning, and serving customers. You will learn on the job, supporting food prep, station setup and breakdown, and ensuring quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items according to recipes and directions, ensuring accurate portions.
• Assist in setting up and breaking down work stations.
• Maintain daily temperature logs and sample food items prior to service.
• Monitor food quality, alert management of issues, and handle customer interactions positively.
• Keep work areas clean, sanitized, and organized, including equipment and utensils.
• Assist with waste disposal, supply transfers, and safety observations.
• Cross-train in various areas, including catering and special events, performing tasks as assigned.
• Lead and support team members to ensure timely service, requesting support when needed.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership and team collaboration abilities.
• Serve Safe certification preferred.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical capability to lift, bend, push, and stand for extended periods.
• Experience in food service is preferred.

This role involves working in kitchen environments with heated equipment, chemicals, and noise, requiring proper PPE and adherence to safety standards. Development of new skills and adaptability are encouraged to support professional growth.
