Food Service Worker II - Retail (offsite)

About the role

The Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC) is a non-profit Tribal health organization dedicated to providing comprehensive health services to Alaska Native and American Indian communities. ANTHC operates the Alaska Native Medical Center and offers a wide range of health services across the state.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of workstations, counters, tables, and other janitorial duties.
• Assist with set up, serving, and restocking of food from counters and steamtables.
• Stock items such as baked goods, snacks, and beverages for sale.
• Interact positively and professionally with guests in serving, retail, and dining areas.
• Operate industrial dishwashing machines and ensure proper cleaning of all ware.
• Ring up sales and follow cash handling policies and procedures at the register.
• Assist guests with meal prescriptions and participate in patient tray assembly.
• Deliver supplies or meals to patient floors or rooms.
• Report any issues, such as quality of food, safety hazards, guest concerns, or broken equipment to leadership.
• Attend training programs as assigned.
• Comply with all company safety protocols and report all injuries and accidents promptly.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including HACCP policies and procedures.
• Perform others duties as assigned.

Requirements

• All High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Food Service Worker II: Associate's Degree in Food Service Management or two (2) years food service experience.
• Food Service Worker III: Associate's Degree in Food Service Management or four (4) years food service experience.
• Valid Municipality of Anchorage General Food Service Worker’s Card.
• Food Service Worker II and III: ServSafe certification as issued by the National Restaurant Association, or eligibility to obtain certification within one (1) year from date of hire.
• Driver’s license required for delivery positions.
