Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of customer, food, and sanitation-related activities, troubleshooting as necessary.
- Maintain excellent communication skills with patients, customers, and coworkers at all times.
- Respond to patient and customer issues and concerns in a timely manner.
- Assess customer needs and deliver products to meet those needs.
- Record food temperatures during meal hours and take corrective action when standards are not met.
- Adhere to the BHN Personal Appearance policy and wear provided uniforms during scheduled shifts.
- Complete all daily washing and sanitizing tasks consistently, reporting exceptions to the department leader.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area at all times.
- Ensure 100% compliance with all record-keeping requirements.
- Perform all assigned daily and monthly cleaning tasks as directed.
- Complete weekly cleaning lists as observed by the department leader.
- Respect and use equipment appropriately at all times.
- Train new employees in correct workflows.
- Clean and stock the immediate work area before leaving at the end of the shift.
- Control food and paper waste, using resources efficiently.
- Maintain and check floor par stocks on assigned floors and on-call rooms.
- Provide excellent customer service, presenting a professional and courteous manner at all times.
- Greet each patient and customer with a smile and helpful demeanor.
- Resolve customer complaints politely, aiming for satisfactory resolution.
- Treat coworkers with respect, accommodating different work styles and viewpoints.
- Actively participate in department huddles.
- Perform similar or related duties as requested or directed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Previous Food Service experience (preferred).

Physical Requirements
- Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.
- Occasional: balancing, climbing, crouching, grasping, hearing, kneeling, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive motion, standing, stooping, visual acuity (color, depth, perception).
- Frequent: typing/clerical/dexterity, seeing/monitor/computer use, talking.
- Constant: walking.
Hazards & Working Conditions
- Occasional exposure to bodily fluids/bloodborne pathogens, burns, and chemicals.
- Occasional noise, wet and/or humid conditions, mists, and odors.
The job may require occasional travel.

Pay
Salary is based on qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
Pay Range: $16.98–$25.47 per hour.
