Food Service Operations Rep

Location: Holy Cross Hospital, Silver Spring, Maryland
Employment Type: Part-Time
Shift: Rotating (with every other weekend commitment)

About the Role

The Food Service Operations Rep performs duties for the hospital’s Food Services Department.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, prepare, serve, and deliver trays, meals, and nourishments to patients, floors, and other customers or clients.
• Attend to patient, nursing, and/or other customer food service and related requests, needs, or requirements in a friendly, cheerful, patient, and customer-focused manner.
• Collect trays and other items for transport to Food Service.
• Assist in the sanitation of the entirety of the department including, but not limited to pots, dish room, trash, floors, and special cleaning as assigned.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must have or be pursuing a high school diploma or equivalent, or four years of work-related experience.
• Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and courteously via telephone, in person, or in writing.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple and moderately complex instructions, correspondence, and memos in English. Ability to speak and communicate in Spanish is desired.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic functions.
• Ability to use common sense in carrying out written and oral instructions and solving problems.
• Ability to use kitchen, trayline, and warewashing equipment.

Pay

Pay Range: $18.00 - $21.42 per hour. Pay is based on experience, skills, and education.
