Responsibilities

  • Handle patient scheduling, appointments, and manage a multi-phone line system.
  • Gather and manage new patient data, including tracking all patient referrals.
  • Disseminate information to patients and act as a liaison between patients and physicians.
  • Send and log all reports to doctors, and maintain records of incoming reports.
  • Collect payments, verify insurance, and process copays.
  • Manage mail distribution to proper areas and individuals within the clinic.
  • Send benefits paperwork to billing companies and track Explanation of Benefits.
  • Coordinate evaluations, re-evaluations, appointment reminders, and cancellations.
  • Collect new patient intake information and communicate scheduling details with the office manager and clinicians.
  • Answer phones, address patient questions, and ensure smooth communication for both potential and current patients.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED certificate).
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Strong communication and multitasking skills, with a detail-oriented approach.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, integrity, and empathy for patients in pain.
