Responsibilities

• Handle patient scheduling, appointments, and multi-phone line management
• Gather and manage new patient data, including tracking all patient referrals
• Disseminate information to patients and act as a liaison between patients and physicians
• Send and log all reports to doctors
• Collect payments and verify insurance details
• Manage mail distribution to proper areas and individuals
• Send benefits paperwork to billing companies
• Coordinate evaluations, re-evaluations, appointment reminders, and cancellations
• Collect new patient intake information and track clinic referrals
• Fax reports to physicians and maintain logs of incoming reports
• Verify insurance coverage, track insurance-covered visits, and process copayments
• Monitor and distribute mail, including Explanation of Benefits (EOB) to the billing company
• Communicate with the office manager and clinicians regarding scheduling and patient arrivals

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Strong communication, multitasking, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in handling incoming calls
• Familiarity with MS Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
• Proficient computer skills, including data entry, email navigation, and file management
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, integrity, and empathy for patients in pain
• Compassionate demeanor and professional integrity
