Food Service Manager - Subway
About the role
The Food Service Manager is responsible for inventory and money control, acting as the point person for marketing initiatives. This role requires 2+ years of retail food sales experience and prior leadership experience in a food service environment.
Responsibilities
- Interview, hire, and train new employees.
- Process all daily computer reports.
- Balance daily cash and bring cash deposits to the bank.
- Place all food & supply orders.
- Count inventory and create produce orders.
- Check orders in and organize any stock.
- Knowledge of equipment maintenance.
- Aid guests at the cash register/POS.
- Take and fill orders at the drive-through (if applicable).
- Inform guests of current active promotions when appropriate.
- Prepare food in a safe and responsible manner.
- Prepare all food & beverages according to guidelines and specifications.
- Report for work in a clean approved uniform, including hat or visor.
- Complete shift reports and reconcile cash.
- Receive and organize deliveries of dry, refrigerated, and frozen stock items.
- Complete operations logs including temperature logs & recording food waste.
Qualifications
- Must attend mandatory meetings (I.e. T.A.M, sexual harassment, etc.).
- Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, weekends and/or holidays, assist other locations as needed, and be available via phone after regular business hours, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to freely access all areas of the store and work in walk-in coolers and freezers.
- Perform physical behaviors repetitively throughout a shift: standing, walking, handling, reaching horizontally, grasping firmly, reaching above the shoulder, reaching below the waist, pushing buttons, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching.
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Strong math and computer skills including Microsoft Office and email.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $49,000.00 - $57,000.00. The final amount offered at the start of employment is determined based on factors including, but not limited to, experience level, knowledge, skills, abilities and geographic location, and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance and market factors.
