Food Service/HVACR Repair Technician

About the role

Smith-Boughan Mechanical, Inc. is actively seeking a skilled Food Service Repair Technician/HVACR Technician to join their growing service team in Lima, OH.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain ice makers, fryers, grills, ovens, etc...
• Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC units and walk-in coolers
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and controls-related issues
• Perform preventive maintenance and system inspections
• Work directly with customers to understand needs and deliver solutions
• Complete service documentation and communicate findings clearly
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company standards

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of Food Service and/or HVACR experience
• Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical and electrical systems
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Able to work independently and manage service calls effectively
• Strong communication and customer service skills
