About the Role
Join a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing housing and services to seniors in a Christian environment, with over 100 years of experience. The Food Service Worker provides leadership to food service staff and ensures quality standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Monitor food temperatures and maintain cleanliness
- Prepare and serve food, restock supplies, and clean equipment
- Process payments using a computerized register
- Adhere to HACCP guidelines
- Deliver excellent customer service and communicate effectively with patrons and colleagues
- Operate various food service equipment
- Work independently as needed
- Demonstrate understanding of food safety and sanitation
- Perform physical tasks requiring extensive standing and walking
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; basic reading, writing, and math skills required
- Two years of food service experience preferred
- Leadership skills
- On-the-job training provided
- May require completion of Diet Therapy classes and Serv Safe certification, depending on location
