Food Service Aide

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English is required.
• Prior related experience preferred but not required.

Performance Expectations

Demonstrates the competencies as established on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool.

Work Environment

• Potential for exposure to the hazards and risk of the hospital environment, including exposure to infectious disease, hazardous substances, and potential injury.
• Requires the ability to walk, stand and reach for long periods of time.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
• Good hand/eye coordination also required.
• Requires working in adverse conditions, such as wet floors, extreme change of temperature, sharp/dangerous equipment, and hot foods and liquids.
