About the role

Assist with preparation of nutritious and enjoyable meals and snacks for children ages 12 months to 6 years using approved recipes and in accordance with NAEYC and OKDHS child nutrition guidelines; including portion size and restricted foods.

Follow Oklahoma State Department of Health guidelines for commercial kitchens; including sanitation and storage of food and chemicals.

Aid in the sanitation and safe operations of all equipment; including daily cleaning routine and making or reporting necessary repairs on equipment.

Assist with the training of student employees that may be assigned to the kitchen.

Occasionally prepare food for field trips and family events.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
• Zero to six months relative professional experience.
• Pediatric First Aid and CPR within 60 days of employment.
• Successful completion of ServSafe Food Handler's course within 90 days of employment and annual renewal.
• Required annual training through OSU.
