About the role

Larry Flynt’s Hustler Casino is a luxurious facility located in Gardena, offering a high-end experience with 55,000 square feet and $50 million in investment. The casino specializes in classic card games with over 80 tables, including progressive poker jackpots.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized service to all casino guests, ensuring timely and efficient food and beverage service.
• Guide guests through menus and demonstrate knowledge of food and beverages to enhance the dining experience.
• Take and process food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently into the Point of Sale system.
• Clear and reset tables promptly, maintaining cleanliness and accuracy of food checks.
• Maintain a professional appearance and posture at all times.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• A minimum of one year of previous food server experience; six months in an upscale restaurant preferred.
• Professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance adhering to casino standards.
• Able to make change using American monetary units.
• Shifts including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Ability to determine and shift priorities quickly.
• Solve practical problems and deal with various variables.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Able to read, write, and speak English.
• Food Handlers Certification.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to safely lift at least 75 lbs. without restrictions.
• Requires constant reaching with hands and arms, occasional walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
• Maintain physical stamina and mental attitude to handle intense, fast-paced environments with numerous distractions.

Casino Requirements

• At least 21 years of age.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Gardena Police Department/City issued Casino Work Permit.
