JOB SUMMARY
The Oliver's Chophouse and Bourbon Bar Food Server is responsible for ensuring a memorable dining experience for guests. Duties include taking orders, maintaining cleanliness, and handling alcohol responsibly.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Take orders from patrons and return them promptly.
- Maintain a clean and orderly dining area at all times.
- Ensure compliance with responsible alcohol service guidelines.
- Handle guest banking and pre-bus tables.
- Deliver and serve beverages, food, and non-food items.
- Ensure the safety and security of both employees and guests.
STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE
- Maintain positive interpersonal relationships with colleagues and guests.
- Show effective oral and written communication skills.
- Be available to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
- Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Use POS equipment to enter orders.
- Operate various kitchen equipment.
- Bus tables efficiently to accommodate new business.
- Model appropriate behavior and respond positively to inquiries.
- Communicate effectively using various devices.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of information.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with diverse groups and levels of authority.
- Treat all guests with respect and strive to exceed their expectations.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Fine dining experience, preferably in a high-volume casino steakhouse.
- Knowledge of wines, alcohol, and basic food preparation.
- At least 6 months of relevant work experience.
- Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, and bending.
- Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Moderate to loud noise levels.
