Responsibilities
- Clear all tables and reset them for new seating, ensuring tables are set in accordance with venue standards.
- Approach newly seated guests and serve them bread, butter, water, etc. in an efficient, courteous manner.
- Assist Food Servers, as needed, throughout the meal by observing guests for any requests for service, clearing dishes from the table, and continually providing a clean, neat eating area.
- Maintain cleanliness of all side stations and assist with side work as needed.
- Perform as a team member with venue hosts, food servers, shift supervisors, and kitchen staff to maintain a smooth, efficient venue operation.
- Consistently demonstrate superior customer service skills by displaying Spotlight on Success behaviors.
- Maintain an upbeat, positive attitude, positive energy, and enthusiasm from one interaction to the next.
- Create an atmosphere of luck and celebrate customer wins.
- Greet guests with a warm, friendly verbal greeting, build relationships, and stay informed of daily information.
- Anticipate needs and provide fast, flawless service.
- Check for satisfaction and properly use the Service Recovery process to resolve problems when they exist.
- Provide a warm farewell and thank guests for visiting.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- Restaurant experience preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of work experience in a restaurant, either front of house or back of house.
- Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the venue.
- Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds.
- Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items while working at the assigned area.
- Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand Basic English.
- Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
