Food Runner

Duties and Responsibilities

• Deliver food orders from the kitchen to the appropriate tables or customers in a prompt and efficient manner.
• Verify that each order matches the customer's request in terms of items, quantity, special instructions, and any modifications.
• If there are any discrepancies, communicate with the kitchen or servers to rectify the issue.
• Cook with the kitchen staff to ensure that multiple orders are ready at the same time for delivery, avoiding delays and ensuring that hot food stays hot and cold food remains cold.
• Absorb customer feedback or special requests and relay them to the appropriate team members.
• Maintain open and effective communication with the kitchen staff and servers to ensure a smooth flow of food service.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
• Regularly check for spills, debris, and safety hazards, and address them promptly to maintain a safe and pleasant dining environment.
• Greet and interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner. Be attentive to their needs and respond to any additional requests they may have.

Qualifications

• Must be positive, upbeat, and welcoming.
• No previous restaurant experience required.
• Communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of our guests.
• Work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).
• Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food frequently weighing up to 20 to 25 pounds.
