Food Runner

About the role

30hop Restaurant & Bar in Cedar Rapids, IA is hiring Food Runners to join their front of house team. They are looking for dependable, team-oriented individuals who enjoy being active and working in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Whether you have previous restaurant experience or are seeking your first job in the industry, you will be part of a team dedicated to delivering food quickly, accurately, and keeping service smooth.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food to Guests promptly and accurately while maintaining presentation standards
• Verify food items and table numbers before leaving the kitchen
• Communicate with the kitchen and service teams to help ensure accurate and timely food delivery
• Respond to Guest requests and communicate missing items, concerns, or other needs to the appropriate team member
• Keep food pickup and service areas clean and organized
• Clear and reset tables and maintain dining areas throughout service
• Monitor restroom cleanliness and other Guest-facing areas as needed
• Support Servers, Hosts, kitchen team members, and other team members during busy shifts
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and service standards
• Complete opening and closing duties as assigned
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

Must be 16 years of age or older

Strong communication and organizational skills

Ability to stay organized and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced restaurant environment

Ability to stay active and work efficiently throughout the shift

Attention to detail and ability to deliver orders accurately

Ability to work as part of a team and help where needed

• Earn $8.10 per hour plus tips, with tip payouts distributed the following morning

• Tips included

Schedule

• 4-8 hour shifts
• Available from 4:00 PM to close Monday through Friday
• Throughout the day on Saturdays and Sundays
