Food Runner - 1606 Restaurant & Oyster Bar

About the role

This is a part-time position. We are looking for candidates who are able to work on a part-time basis for morning/afternoon and evening shifts. Weekends and holidays are required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Cooking food orders to ensure timely and efficient delivery to each table.
• Working with team members to serve each course’s plated dishes to seated guests, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to established service standards.
• Assisting in providing a superior guest experience in delivering high-quality food items.
• Maintaining stock and cleanliness of stations for all meal periods with necessary equipment including silverware and condiments.
• Serving guests with water, breads and butter to begin their dining experience and replenishing as necessary.
• Completing designated side work efficiently and thoroughly.
• Practicing cleanliness and safety in all dining areas, liquor and wine storage areas.
• Transporting all dirty tableware from dining room to dishwashing area for proper cleaning.
• Participating in daily staff meetings and department training meetings.
• Aiding team members as needed to promote a teamwork environment.

Requirements

• Ability to stand for 8 hours’ length of time.
• Ability to walk and/or stand approximately 90% of shift.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular and continuous basis.
• Requires a working knowledge of Food & Beverage service.
• Familiarity with industry relevant Point of Sales systems.
• Ability to practice and adhere to all safety requirements.
• Ability to communicate effectively in the English language.
• A second language is desirable.

Qualifications

• The base wage of $11/hr plus tips is calculated upon historical averages and seasonality with total compensation typically ranging between $16-$19/hr.
