Food Production Teammate

About the role

The Food Production Teammate works in various positions related to food preparation, service, and cleaning under the supervision of a higher-level employee. Responsibilities include assisting in food preparation, serving food, performing cashiering duties, operating kitchen equipment, maintaining cleanliness, and handling refuse removal.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the preparation of all foods, including meats, fish, fruits, vegetables, and other items using standardized recipes.
• Assists in serving food products with a positive attitude towards customers.
• May assist with cashiering duties, collecting cash, and handling meal cards.
• Responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of the serving area, dining room, kitchen, and equipment.
• Washes pots and pans, runs dish machines, performs cleaning and sanitation duties, cleans tables, puts chairs up and takes them down, and puts away stock (groceries).
• Makes sure to interact with student employees in a positive manner and fulfill any reasonable requests.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of experience and/or education.
• Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, kneel, squat, and lift heavy objects.
