Food Production Supervisor - Airline Catering

SkyChefs is a trusted partner to the nation’s leading airlines and retailers, delivering millions of meals and exceptional service experiences annually. This position involves managing a team to ensure timely delivery of high-quality meals and compliance with various regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper organization, staffing, and direction of the area of responsibility, meeting delivery time targets.
• Schedule and control staff to meet labor productivity and overtime targets.
• Maintain compliance with government regulatory agencies' standards, including but not limited to FDA, USDA, OSHA, EPA, DOT, HACCP, etc.
• Document and follow up on department processes to implement improvements.
• Maintain on-time and accurate production/catering of all flights while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
• Guide, motivate, and develop staff according to HR policies.
• Manage productivity hours and costs, initiating corrective actions for deviations.
• Participate in and support company-sponsored initiatives like Quality, HACCP, Lean Manufacturing, Employee Safety, and Production systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• One to three years of related work experience preferred.
• Problem-solving and leadership skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to develop and lead others to achieve desired results and productivity goals.
• Working knowledge of OSHA, GMP, FDA, USDA, and EPA regulations.
• Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer applications.
