Position Overview The Food Production Lead oversees day-to-day production floor operations, ensuring that food products are prepared, packaged, and labeled safely, accurately, and efficiently. This role is both hands-on and leadership-driven — ideal for someone who can manage a small team, maintain quality and sanitation standards, and meet daily production goals while fostering a positive work environment. Key Responsibilities Production & Quality MUST HAVE A BACKGROUND IN FOOD INDUSTRY* Lead and participate in daily production runs, including batching, cooking, filling, packaging, and labelingMonitor production lines to ensure products meet HACCP, GMP, and company quality standardsCoordinate ingredient prep, line setup, and changeovers between product runsVerify weights, labels, and packaging specifications before releaseEnsure accurate completion of production logs, batch sheets, and inventory usage forms Team Leadership Supervise, train, and coach a team of production associatesDelegate daily tasks, monitor workflow, and support continuous improvement initiativesServe as the first point of contact for questions, concerns, or troubleshooting during productionPromote a team culture of accountability, communication, and respect Safety & Compliance Enforce all food safety, sanitation, and OSHA standards on the floorConduct pre- and post-shift inspections to verify cleanliness and readinessReport equipment issues or safety hazards to management immediatelySupport audits and compliance checks as required Operations & Efficiency Maintain production schedules and ensure on-time completion of ordersCommunicate material or labor needs with management for upcoming runsIdentify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste Requirements Qualifications 2+ years of experience in food production, manufacturing, or warehouse operations1+ year in a lead or supervisory role preferredKnowledge of HACCP, GMP, and food safety proceduresStrong organizational and problem-solving skillsAbility to lift 40 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in varying temperaturesExcellent communication and leadership abilitiesComfortable using production logs, digital tracking, or basic Microsoft/Google toolsServSafe Certification a plus Benefits Offered Medical, Dental, Vision HSA (Health Spending Account) 401K Retirement Robust Paid Time Off Current Compensation Rate: 20.00 to 24.00 per hour based on experience.
