About the role
The Food & Nutritional Services Associate at Virginia Gay Hospital works 5 am to 1:30 pm. Established in 1923, Virginia Gay Hospital is an independent, nonprofit critical access hospital serving Benton County, Iowa. The hospital includes a 25-bed hospital and four family medical clinics.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs designated work and cleaning routines for the Food & Nutritional Services Department
- Accountable to the Dietitian in the absence of the Dietitian
- Accountable to the Cook in the absence of the Cook
Minimum Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Previous nutritional or institutional food service experience preferred but not required
- The ability to read, understand, and follow recipe directions, diet orders, tray cards, and work assignments
- To complete a Sanitation Safety Course within 30 days of employment
