Food and Nutrition Host-Hostess II

Works as a team member with patients, their families, nursing, and food service support to maximize patient meal satisfaction. Practices exceptional customer service at all times and serves as the primary liaison between patients and food service operations.

Responsibilities

• Provides meal service to patients.
• Assists patients with verbal meal selections in accordance with current nutrition care orders.
• Communicates food preferences from patients to the food service department to ensure highest patient satisfaction.
• Performs minor food preparation and portioning tasks in accordance with departmental policy.
• Responsible for the transport of patient trays, including picking up and delivering trays.
• Takes inventory of floor supplies and re-supplies them to par level.
• Delivers nourishments to patients.

Requirements

• Less than one year of experience required.

Pay

$17.00 to $22.59 per hour, based on experience.
