Food and Event Delivery Driver - MorgantownPart-time
About the role
We are in need of a part-time delivery driver to take food from Roots and deliver to our customers. This is much more than just grabbing a pizza and dropping it at a front door. Sometimes there will be set up of the food involved. Sometimes you will be carrying a 30‑lb box down a hall, up an elevator, and down another hall. You will need to have access to an email and a working phone at all times. You'll be interacting with our customers via phone and in person – making you a face of Roots. Please note this is a contracted position, not a position of employment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver food orders to customers in a timely and professional manner.
- Set up food at customer locations when required.
- Transport items up/down stairs, elevators, and hallways, including boxes up to 30 lb.
- Communicate with customers via phone and in person.
- Check email for daily order list (received by 8:30 a.m.).
Requirements
- Flexible schedule with general availability between 10 a.m. – 7 p.m., Monday‑Friday.
- Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and a reliable car.
- Access to a working phone and email at all times.
Pay
Expected pay: average $40+ per delivery.
Schedule
Approximately 5 hours per week for the first month or two, growing to 10 hours per week over the next six months.
