Food and Event Delivery Driver - CharlottesvillePart-time

About the role

We are looking for a part‑time delivery driver to pick up food from Roots Natural Kitchen and deliver it to customers. The role involves more than simply dropping off orders; it may include setting up food, carrying boxes up to 30 lb, and navigating hallways and elevators. The driver will need constant access to email and a working phone to receive orders and will interact with customers both by phone and in person, serving as the face of Roots.

This is a contracted position, not an employment position.

Location: Roots Natural Kitchen – Charlottesville, 1329 W Main St, Charlottesville, VA 22903, USA.

Responsibilities

• Pick up food orders from Roots Natural Kitchen.
• Deliver orders to customers, sometimes setting up the food on site.
• Carry boxes weighing up to 30 lb, including navigating halls and elevators.
• Check email for daily order lists (typically by 8:30 a.m.).
• Communicate with customers via phone and in person.

Requirements

• Very flexible schedule with general availability between 10 a.m. – 7 p.m., Monday‑Friday.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Car insurance and a reliable vehicle.
