About the role
As Restaurant Supervisor, you will partner with the Food & Beverage Manager to lead Mezzo Mezzo operations, ensuring seamless service and exceptional guest experiences in an upscale, modern hotel environment.
Responsibilities
- Organize and conduct pre-shift meetings communicating pertinent information to staff, such as house count and menu changes.
- Schedule and direct staff in their work assignments.
- Interact positively with customers, promoting hotel facilities and services.
- Resolve problems to the satisfaction of involved parties.
- Establish and maintain effective associate relations.
- Move throughout facility and kitchen areas to visually monitor and take action to ensure food quality and service standards are met.
- Verify temperature, judge appearance and taste of products, and check preparation methods to determine quality; provide guidance toward improvement and make necessary adjustments for consistency.
- Maintain house bank and utilize POS computer to accurately charge customers and generate revenue reports.
- Input and retrieve data and change computer procedures using complex series of key punches to program the system.
- Implement and maintain housekeeping, sanitation, and cleanliness standards in all areas.
- Maintain a high level of professional appearance, demeanor, ethics, and self-image for yourself and subordinates.
- Ensure appropriate standards of conduct, dress, hygiene, and appearance are maintained.
Requirements
- Knowledge of Food & Beverage operations and preparation techniques.
- Knowledge of Beverage operations and understanding of wine varieties, labels, and vintages.
- Mathematical abilities to determine and track inventory, controls, revenue production, and other hotel financial statements.
- Ability to work entire shift standing and moving about in restaurants and kitchen areas.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English to understand internal documents, reports, and interact with guests and employees.
- Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some requiring high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy.
- High school diploma required.
- One year of previous Food & Beverage and supervisory experience; fine dining/steakhouse atmosphere preferred.
- Additional language ability preferred.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and POS systems helpful.

Pay
$24.00–$26.00 per hour.
