Position Summary The Food and Beverage Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the service in the Food & Beverage Department. This position is also responsible for assisting the manager with training, motivating, and coaching the staff, and monitoring expenses and controlling labor costs. Essential Functions Supervise daily operations and shift activities to ensure efficient service and exceptional guest satisfaction. Communicate effectively with F&B outlets and other departments to coordinate service and resolve guest concerns or special requests. Lead pre-shift meetings and provide on-the-job training, guidance, and feedback to team members. Monitor employee performance, staffing levels, and labor productivity; make adjustments to maintain efficiency and control payroll costs. Ensure food and beverage quality, accuracy, and timeliness of service, including proper guest check settlement and table maintenance. Enforce adherence to company policies, safety protocols, and standard operating procedures. Promote teamwork, reliability, and continuous improvement while supporting department managers with operational and service goals. Maintain knowledge of and comply with departmental policies, service procedures, 4 Keys service standards, brand guidelines, and safety and security procedures. Perform all additional duties as assigned by management. Skills And Abilities Understand and align with the mission, vision, and goals of the hotel. Prioritize tasks, work efficiently with limited supervision, and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy. Communicate effectively in the primary workplace language, demonstrating excellent communication, follow-up, and organizational skills. Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE, equipment handling, and compliance with required licenses or certifications. Work well under pressure and in challenging conditions, using good judgment to resolve problems, follow directions, and collaborate effectively as part of a team. Maintain a current permit or food safety certification as required by the local government. Physical Requirements & Working Conditions The minimum physical requirements for this position include but are not limited to: Flexible and long hours sometimes required Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds Ability to hear, understand and communicate orally and in writing to communicate with staff, vendors, and guests a normal in-person and phone conversation Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time Ability to bend and twist, push and pull, stoop, and kneel Disclaimer All duties and requirements stated are essential job functions.
