Responsibilities

  • Collects sales slips, totals sales on cash register, accepts payment from patrons, and makes change as necessary.
  • Maintains related cash records.
  • Keeps work area clean and orderly.
  • Prepares fruits and vegetables for cooking and serving.
  • Makes a variety of fruit and vegetable salads.
  • Portions out food, cleans, and prepares meats and seafood for cooking.
  • Checks food during cooking to prevent overcooking.
  • Prepares sandwiches and box lunches.
  • Washes dishes, pots, and pans.
  • Empties trash and cleans and sanitizes containers.
  • Unloads trucks and places contents in proper storage and use areas; brings supplies to work areas.
  • Works alone and knows simple food handling techniques.
  • Able to work safely and serve uniform individual portions while managing multiple guest requests simultaneously.
  • Uses simple arithmetic for calculating bills and inventory.
  • Receives verbal and written assignments and completes work on own initiative.

Requirements

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card are required.
  • Must meet qualification, eligibility, and background requirements for this position.
  • Must satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks, including a Tier 1 background investigation.
  • Shifts may include mornings, nights, weekends, holidays, and special events.
  • Must complete a minimum of 4 hours of initial food sanitation and safety training within 30 days of employment and 4 hours of refresher training annually.
  • Must be willing and able to occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds and stand for prolonged periods.
  • Must be willing to work at the Epicenter Food Truck location.
  • Must meet state/local age requirements (18) for serving alcoholic beverages at the time of appointment.
  • Able to lift and carry weights up to 20 pounds.
  • Possess math skills necessary to calculate patron bills and take inventory.
  • Skill in mixing or serving alcoholic or nonalcoholic beverages.

  • Resumes must be two pages or less and clearly demonstrate relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and abilities.

Pay

This job falls under the Federal Wage Schedule (FWS) pay system. FWS employees earn overtime pay for working more than 8 hours in a day or more than 40 hours in a week. Regular full-time, regular part-time, and regularly scheduled flexible employees may receive Sunday premium pay for working on Sundays and extra pay if the majority of their scheduled hours falls after 3:00 PM.
