About the role
The General Laborer in the Foam and assembly Department supports production efforts by assembling packaging products and preparing them for shipment. This role is ideal for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a physical work environment.
Responsibilities
- Assemble boxes using stapling or taping equipment
- Operate glue machines to bond foam according to customer specifications
- Bundle and palletize materials for storage or shipment
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Perform other tasks as directed by the manager
Requirements
- Ability to perform basic math and read fractional measurements (1/8, 1/4, etc.)
- Able to read a tape measure accurately
- Forklift experience is a plus, but not required
- Must have reliable transportation
- Comfortable performing physical tasks, including:
- Standing, bending, climbing stairs/ladders, lifting up to 50 lbs, pushing/pulling
- Able to lift 50 lbs
Physical Requirements
- Standing for extended periods
- Frequent walking, bending, and climbing
- Use of pallet jacks and handheld tools
- Regularly move items up to 50 lbs
- Interact with team members and occasional external contacts (e.g., drivers)
- Able to inspect incoming or outgoing products
