Assemblers

Responsibilities

• Checks Bill of Material (BOM) to determine assembly and any specific requirements for the kit being built.
• Checks stock bins for adequate supplies of sub-assemblies, parts, and fasteners for the particular build.
• Checks for designated packaging.
• Contacts material handler if shortages exist or incorrect parts are in bins.
• Assembles components while verifying that components are correct to the description called for on the BOM.
• Packs finished product into designated packaging along with any required instruction sheet into each carton of the finished product.
• Labels and stages the finished product to be received into the system.
• Resolves assembly and packing problems with direction from supervisor.
• Maintains clean and safe working environment in line with company policies.
• Wears all protective equipment as required.
• Continuously improves productivity and efficiency of processes throughout the operational organization.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft products including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to read, write, and speak effectively to understand manuals, orders, processes, and procedures.
• Ability to count, add, subtract, multiply, and apply basic mathematical and reasoning skills.
• Ability to lift 20-30 pounds semi-regularly and up to 45 pounds occasionally, with the dexterity to handle small pieces while assembling.
• Ability to stand for extended periods while performing tasks.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
