AdvisaCare Hospice is looking for compassionate and dependable volunteers to support hospice patients and their families.
Volunteer opportunities
- Sitting bedside with hospice patients in nursing facilities
- Providing caregiver relief inside private residences
- Pet therapy with already licensed dogs to visit with patients
- Playing guitar bedside for hospice patients
- Bereavement volunteer support calls to families and assisting with grief groups
- Pre-med students who want to learn about gerontology patient care
- Grief support (remote)
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- Willing to submit TB test, drug test, and be fingerprinted
- Hospice does not accept court-ordered service hours
