FLSA tipped employees update for 2019

This position is subject to the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). The Consolidated Appropriations Act amends the FLSA regarding tipped employees by prohibiting employers from retaining employees’ tips for any purpose, including allowing managers or supervisors to keep any portion of employees’ tips, regardless of whether the employer takes a tip credit.
