FLS Manufacturing Engineer, Amazon Leo
About the role
The Manufacturing Engineer will lead production development for a key module on Amazon Leo's next generation spacecraft. This role requires expertise in systems design, collaboration with development, and driving production processes from initial introduction to full rate production.
Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, design, develop, and improve production processes (assembly, integration, test processes)
- Serve as primary technical interface to development team, participating in Design Reviews and new product development activities
- Support operations team by solving technical problems and escalating issues to development
- Own the capacity increase roadmap for production, including defining necessary capital equipment and leading design, procurement, installation, and qualification of new equipment
- Mentor team members, developing their skills and ensuring alignment with technical vision
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience
- Experience in a consumer electronics lab environment
- Experience in a Linux or Unix environment
- Experience working on consumer hardware or software products
Qualifications
- Experience configuring, deploying, and testing software updates
- Experience working with hardware and software teams for device setup, testing, and troubleshooting
- Deep dive into available data sets to identify and implement key production improvement actions
- Develop and execute roadmaps for capacity increase, process simplification, and quality control
