FLS Manufacturing Engineer, Amazon Leo

About the role

The Manufacturing Engineer will lead production development for a key module on Amazon Leo's next generation spacecraft. This role requires expertise in systems design, collaboration with development, and driving production processes from introduction to full rate production.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, design, develop, and improve production processes (assembly, integration, test processes)
• Serve as primary technical interface to development team, participating in Design Reviews and new product development activities
• Support operations team by solving technical problems in high-pressure escalation moments
• Own the capacity increase roadmap for production, including defining required capital equipment and leading design, procurement, installation, and qualification of new rate enabling equipment

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience
• Experience in a consumer electronics lab environment
• Experience in a Linux or Unix environment
• Experience working on consumer hardware or software products

Qualifications

• Experience configuring, deploying, and testing software updates
• Experience working with hardware and software teams for setting up, testing, and troubleshooting prototype devices

Skills

• Expertise in systems design
• Collaboration skills with development and factory operations teams
• Ability to solve complex industrial challenges
• Knowledge of export control requirements
