Responsibilities
- Work with the freshest flowers, learning their names and varieties.
- Learn how to recognize quality and assist in preparing flowers for delivery to customers.
- Perform physical handling of all inventory in the warehouse, including receiving, restocking, and rotating products.
- Sort and place materials on racks according to organizational standards.
- Constantly lift up to 50 lbs and follow all company written procedures to ensure high daily productivity and accuracy.
- Unload, scan, sort, pack, and load products into trucks for shipping.
- Work in various temperature conditions, including 45 degrees for unloading/scanning/sorting inbound product, 50 degrees for packing/loading product into trucks, and 85 degrees in the greenhouse for unloading/scanning/sorting inbound foliage plants.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Participate in cross-training and labor sharing to learn other departments within the organization.
Requirements
- Detail-oriented and enjoy heavy physical labor.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
- Ability to perform various physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, and working in both hot and cold environments.
- Experience working in a warehouse is preferred.
- Able to stand for 8 hours or more a day.
- Bilingual (English & Spanish) is preferred.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
Successful candidates must have a strong work ethic and be able to lift up to 50 lbs. They should also be detail-oriented and enjoy physical labor. Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not required.
