Responsibilities

  • Oversight of daily operations of the floral department.
  • Management of inventory and ordering of supplies.
  • Create and design floral arrangements for various occasions.
  • Training and supervision of floral department staff.
  • Ensuring excellent customer service is provided at all times.
  • Maintenance of a clean and organized work environment.
  • Closely working with suppliers to ensure a diverse selection of flowers and plants.
  • Managing the department's budget and financial performance.
  • Adhering to safety and health regulations.
  • Developing and implementing marketing strategies to promote the floral department.
  • Handling customer inquiries and resolving any issues or complaints.
  • Monitoring sales and adjusting inventory levels accordingly.
  • Coordination with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Planning and executing special events and promotions.
  • Staying updated on industry trends and best practices.
  • Maintaining proper care and maintenance of flowers and plants.
  • Preparing reports on department performance and sales.
  • Implementing and enforcing company policies and procedures.
  • Conducting regular staff meetings and training sessions.
  • Fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Floral Manager or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of flowers, plants, and floral design.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer service-oriented with a positive attitude.
  • Proficient in inventory management and budgeting.
  • Creative and detail-oriented.
  • Able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Knowledge of safety and health regulations.
  • Able to lift and carry heavy items.
  • Proficient in using floral design software and tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in floral design or horticulture is a plus.
  • Experience in retail or customer service is preferred.
  • Able to train and mentor staff.
  • Strong sales and marketing skills.
  • A passion for flowers and plants.
