Flooring Project Manager

About the role
The Project Manager is responsible for coordination and completion of projects on time, within budget, and within scope. For the life of the project, the Project Manager will oversee all aspects of projects to ensure profitability, set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor progress.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate internal and external resources for the successful execution of projects
- Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients and staff members
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget
- Create Labor SOV
- Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
- Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques, including keeping up to date on ASIs, ASKs, and related documents
- Estimate or coordinate estimation with Estimator to propose change orders as requested via email, ASK, ASI, or other forms of request
- Manage change orders, whether initiated by the customer or warranted due to field conditions
- Submit and seek approval for cost proposals as changes in work occur
- Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques, including RFMS Client Management
- Report any issues and escalate to management as needed
- Manage the relationship with the client
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks
- Establish and maintain relationships with third parties and vendors
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Delegate project tasks based on junior staff members' strengths, skill sets, and experience levels
- Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis
- Develop spreadsheets, diagrams, and process maps to document needs
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent required
- 5+ years of management experience in the commercial new-remodel construction industry
- 3+ years of Project Management construction experience in the commercial industry, preferably in the flooring industry
- RFMS experience
- Callidus and/or MeasureSquare experience is preferred
- Commercial Construction Experience
- Analytical, budgeting, and estimating skills
- Commercial build-out/TI management and estimating experience
- Scheduling expertise
- Strong communication skills
- Negotiating and contract experience
- Ability to work well with a small team
- Impeccable organizational skills
- Bilingual is a plus
- MS 0365 knowledge (heavy Excel)
